Jahqoi is a sole-proprietorship and has been in business for approximately nine months. We recently incorporated in the state of Wyoming. The owner is a plus size woman herself and has created the basic foundation for the line. The Owner/Designer creates the sketches, makes the patterns and occasionally sews the first sample. Currently, the company has two buying accounts: Danni Roche in Detroit, and Vive Le Femme in Chicago.

Jahqoi’s products are intended to be as stylish, creative and distinct as any missy size fashion label. The clothing is geared solely to plus size women, except for the fact that the style will be consistent with the youthful woman’s look of today. The line is geared towards styles that are modern, fresh, and comfortable. In addition, the garments are created with specific fabrics and colors in mind for a coordinated look. The style lines are placed for fluidity and in some cases to camouflage the less desirable areas of a woman’s figure.

Jahqoi has a product that 60% of the female population is desperately searching for. Plus-sized women have been virtually ignored by established designers. The market is a $32 billion dollar business. But,what’s being offered is dull, homely, boxy, ill-fitting garments that do nothing to enhance a full-figured woman’s appearance. In addition, cocktail dresses, evening dresses, or a sexy 2-piece outfit for a night out, doesn’t exist for the plus size woman. A simple pair of jeans that has a young, contemporary look and fit, isn’t available in plus size either. Jahqoi is specifically geared towards women 20-55 yrs. old, who would like to wear the style of BCBG, or Versace, but in a larger size. Our company is here to provide them with that luxury.
